Tastefully decorated with a melodious combination of classic, contemporary and luxurious flair, Cigar One is beautifully encased in glass overlooking the lush tree-lined street and pristine blue sky, giving an illusion of light gracefulness and elegance. Talented Veteran Bartender
Manning the bar is Thailand’s elite bartender, Sompong Boonsiri or Pa Pong, 70, whose expertise put Bamboo Bar at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok on a world cocktail map. Though his calling card is the classic recipes, he is also renowned for his artistic whim and creative impulse where he creates special cocktails to suit each customer’s taste and personality. With decades of bartending and cocktail crafting experience, Pa Pong promises guests the exceptionally drinks, nourished and stimulated with passion and dedication.
Excellently Crafted Cocktails
As is to be expected there are also numerous Cuban cigars to choose from, including Cohiba Magicos, Davidoff Special R Tubos, and Romeo y Julieta Romeo de Luxe, as well as a vast selection of premium wine, beer, liquor, and the bar’s signature cocktails.
Cigar One is known for its Thai-inspired cocktail entitled, Thai-jito, a well mix of Thai spirit Mekhong, lime juice, and sugar syrup muddled with lemon wedges, old ginger, lemongrass, and brown sugar, offering a refreshing scent and flavor of Thai herbs.
Named after the bar, the signature Cigar One is a brightly colored cocktail with a concoction of Phraya rum, Grand Martier, and grenadine syrup with mixed fruit juices of lime, pineapple, and orange—a girly alcoholic drink with sweet and sour notes.
The other highlight is the Tom Yam Martini, for which the ingredients, including Tanqueray gin and dry vermouth blending together with crushed chili, grated galangal, kaffir leaf, and lime peel, creating a strong aroma of Thai herbs with a hint of spiciness and a dry mouthfeel.
