Colonnade,the main restaurant of The Sukhothai Bangkok, provides a morning buffet and a lunch theme buffet, which changes types of food every month. The best of the best is, of course, the Sunday Brunch, which serves foods from the finest ingredients from all over the world. Situated in a luxurious yet relax setting with high ceiling and tall windows letting natural lights through. Visitors can see the Sukhothai-style fountains from the inside, which are the signature of the hotel.
With the “Uncompromising Quality” concept, the foods are all from the finest quality from the best origins. Chef’s lifelong skills is so neat and delicate that makes it impossible to replace. Now, let’s take a look at the line up of the finest Colonnade Sunday Brunch.
The Welcome Drink was served after we sat down. It comes with with 2 types: Whiskey sour for the men and Pink Lady for the ladies.
Starting with the toast corner; including the place’s Signature with uberstandard taste. One of IT thing from this corner is the butter “Échiré” from France. Its taste and quality is recommended from gourmands all over the world and Colonnade has brought it to serve all of you in this Sunday Brunch only.
The next corner I’d like to call the “Appetizer” corner. The DIY salad bar is normal yet the ingredients are all homemade: crunchy toast, fried bacon, even caesar salad with special dressing. There are a ready-to-eat salad: tomato and burrata cheese, ham and strawberry in Balsamic dressing, steak with peas, etc. Moreover, soft Thai Steamed Egg, Salty smoked Salmon Gin and Tonic, and sour Smoked Salmon Mojito are also served, including terrines: Whole Duck, Wild Boar, Foie Gras with Ginger for the meat lovers.
On the opposite side is the Middle East cuisine: Fattouche, crispy salad in the Middle East style, Couscous Salad with Morocco’s national food Couscous, the small steamed balls of semolina, Baba Ghannouj, Lebanese appetizer made from milled eggplant and tomato mixed with salt, lime juice, and olive oil, Tzatziki, Greece dipping sauce, and Hummus, Lebanese dipping sauce made from milled peas and sesame, famous as an healthy choice of food with low fat, high protein.
A Thai corner features varieties of Thai dishes with warm stream jasmine rice. The menu was prepared by the same quality with Celadon, a famous Thai restaurant in the hotel. On this corner, you can also order Som Tum, a papaya salad, made fresh by order.
The next corner divided into different section according to the food on display. From the Cold Cut corner, you can find a premium quality cold cut available in 7 kinds. These fancy dishes accompany by grilled vegetables, mushroom, cantaloupe, cheese and fermented garlic.
The highlight goes to ‘Oyster’, from this corner you can experience 4 different kinds of oyster (6 for someday) which are: A thick, orange Tasmanian Sydney Rock Oyster, a fresh and sweet Calm Cove, An imported Irlande Oyster and a famous tender French Fine De Claire.
A heaven for seafood lover is just around the corner! Meet up with a fabulous Seafood on ice: tiger prawn, clams, lobster, Alaska king crab all served you fresh from the sea. Prepare your spicy seafood sauce and get ready for a tones of delicious catch!
If you want something more adventure, visit a special corner where a special selected menu will be change weekly. For this week, we tried Kangaroo Burritos, a kangaroo meat, bell pepper, cheese wrap in rose flour. Then burn up in fire till the cheese melted. The smell of cheese together with the taste of kangaroo meat is truly irresistible.
A pasta made by order corner present you 3 kinds of Home Made pasta, together with several ingredients to pair up with sauce. You can either let the professional cook prepare your pasta or Mix and Match your DIY pasta. A pasta is again cooked with cheese before sever. A baked pasta, a pasta with thick white cream sauce is also available at this corner.
Carving and Grilled corner is also the next highlight we would like to introduce. Start with a roasted Wagyu Prime Rib served with buttery yorkshiir pudding, a whole duck is available for you to choose which part you prefer, a perfect piece of Lamb Lack, Grill Rock Lobster, Lamp Strew served with white bean and onion, a crispy and tender 24 Hours Pock Ribs, Texas Style served with a bit sweet and spicy sauce and a 24 Hours Beef Ribs, with Rosemary and Mustard with just a touch of Rosemary smell.
The star of this station goes to a big piece of crispy grill Foie Gras served with raspberry sauce and youkshire pudding.
What you shouldn’t miss also is a Japanese section. Here served you all kinds of sushi in which some of them are hardly found in buffet such as Maguro Moromi Miso, Seared Tuna, Suzuki Ponzu Citrus Zest, Salmon with Orange Miso Sauce และ Hamachi. Moreover, unikurare, a spicy jelly fish salad, a scallop spicy salad and big pieces of crispy prawn tempura are waiting for you here.
The opposite side is a cheese corner where 20 different kinds of chess are displayed according to its smell, touch and taste. Eat it raw or added fruits, honey etc. as you like.

Situated at Zuk Bar, the dessert corner for Colonnade Sunday Brunch is surrounded by a view from an outside garden and lotus pool. What a perfect atmosphere to enjoy some sweet.
Start from Thai traditional dessert. The highlight of this section is a homemade sweet sticky rice accompany by many side dish for such as a Barracuda mango, a Thai custard, a dried crispy fish and a soy bean. A Water Chestnut Dumplings in Iced Coconut syrup is also what you shouldn’t miss. At the opposite side, a various Thai herb drinks are also available.
Move to the next cake and tart section, all kinds of famous cakes prepared by Chef Laurent. If you love western sweet, Pavlova macaroon, premium chocolate and Crème brûlée is what you shouldn’t miss.
