Orchid Café at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok is proudly introducing its latest feast to remember with an interesting selection of Korean delicacies, specially added to the regular buffet menu from August 4-20, available for both lunch and dinner.
Curated by the restaurant’s Korean guest chefs, Lee Yun Ha and Lee Jae Bin, from JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, Korean food lovers will definitely enjoy the flavors of authentic Korean cuisine from their special recipes.
Guests might begin with an array of Korean salad dishes, made with high quality fresh-cut products and accompanied by a delectable choice of salad dressing, which highlight King Prawn Salad with Pine Nut Sauce, Korean Row Beef Salad, Spicy Cuttlefish Salad, and Korean-Style Cucumber Salad.
Korean soups are next. Go for the Pork and Kimchi Soup, one of the most beloved dishes in Korea thanks to its spicy and tangy combo or try the Black Sesame Porridge, a smooth and nutritious broth with a nice aroma of black sesame.
Among the appetizer choices here is the Korean-Style Seasoned Raw Beef, which looks exactly like steak tartare. Raw minced beef is seasoned with Korean spices and herbs and served with raw egg on top. The Stir-fried Glass Noodles with Seafood, which comes next, gives off a unique Korean vibe with its delicately smooth noodle and fresh seafood items.
A Korean staple, Kimchi, is presented in a very traditional way and served alongside pork belly boiled in spices and tofu.
For mains, the chefs recommend the Grilled Beef Short Ribs, which is extremely luscious and tender with a flavorful marinade and a sprinkle of salt. The same goes for the Beef Bulgogi which is also amazingly delicious with a marinade of bulgogi sauce. But the Ginseng Chicken Roll is the lead here. The slice of boiled chicken is rolled around a filling of rice stuffed with ginseng. It is then served in an aromatic soup.
There is also an array of Korean sweet treats to choose from, including the Cinnamon Punch, an aromatic drink with a sweet scent of cinnamon and Korean herbs and the Honey Cake, a traditional Korean dessert made with honey, sesame oil, and wheat flour.
Apart from the Korean specialties, Orchid Café also comes with a limitless array of menu items, which includes whole roasted salmon, rib of Australian beef, and New Zealand lamb chops. Imported seafood on ice features Fine de Claire oysters, river prawns, blue crab, snow crab, slipper lobster, and much more. Indian and Japanese food are there to satisfy your needs, as well as a huge selection of desserts such as homemade cake, sticky rice with mango, chocolate fondue, and ice cream.
