From March 14 – 18 at Rossini’s, guest chef Lorenzo Baldacci from Tuscany will showcase his exceptional regional Italian cuisine. Experience his special set menus, à la carte dining or an unforgettable Mazzei Wine Dinner on March 16.
Chef Lorenzo is a passionate master of traditional Tuscan cuisine. At the renowned Osteria di Fonterutoli in the heart of Mazzei estate, one of Italy’s most noble producers of Classico Chianti, he delights diners with dishes prepared with local, fresh and seasonal ingredients, including game from the estate.
At Rossini’s award-winning Italian restaurant, Chef Lorenzo will recreate an authentic taste of Tuscany with outstanding set menus available for lunch and dinner. Highlights will include Tuna, macerated rabbit in olive oil, orange marinated duck breast salad with cannellini beans and rosemary, and pumpkin soup with mushrooms and Pecorino cheese. There will also be homemade lasagnette with wild boar ragout and bread crumb, and carnaroli risotto with green asparagus, lardo and gorgonzola cheese. Highly recommended rustic Tuscan game dishes will include wild boar with topinambur purée, flavorsome Mazzei guinea fowl with chickpeas and salt baked onion, and succulent venison fillet with apple cream, onion and spinach.
On March 16, Chef Lorenzo will host a special Mazzei Wine Dinner. With Mazzei estates in Tuscany, Maremma and Chianti, Mazzei have been producing fine wines since the 1300s, making it the second oldest winery in Italy and one of the oldest in the world. The family owns Castello di Fonterutoli, a Chianti estate regarded by many leading international wine critics as one of the elite Tuscan wine estates.
