Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is gearing up for the Mid-Autumn Festival with a mooncake promotion at Pagoda, its authentic Chinese restaurant.
Chef Oscar Pun and his team have created a series of special mooncakes for this particular occasion. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of mooncakes at Pagoda, including the signature black truffle, roasted chestnut, smoked duck, egg yolk and white lotus seed variety. This luxurious delicacy combines the rich, earthy flavor of the truffle with the smokiness of the duck meat and the sweetness of the chestnuts to create an indulgent and irresistible treat.
A selection of premium varieties of mooncake are also available, including those combining sweet and sticky pork bak-kwah with the crunch of assorted nuts; rich, creamy durian with white lotus seed paste and egg yolk and a series of options that blend the crunchy, buttery taste of white lotus seed paste with chestnuts, macadamia nuts or the most popular white lotus seed paste with a single egg yolk. Traditional baked mooncake available in big size (170g) and small size (80g).
Pagoda will also showcase a unique selection of “snow skin” mooncakes – a non-baked variety that originates in Chef Oscar’s home city of Hong Kong. These come with a choice of delectably sweet fillings, including Chanthaburi durian, white lotus seed paste with egg yolk, and “Nam Dok Mai” mango and cheese. There is even an indulgent chocolate brownie and salted caramel version for diners with a sweet tooth. Snow-skin mooncakes are available in small size (80g).
