In August and September, chefs at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s award-winning Thai restaurant, Basil, will elevate classic dishes from the central region to new levels of sophistication using premium ingredients and authentic recipes.
A showcase for the brilliance of Thai culinary creativity and flavor combinations, the exceptional menu will include kong kin len, the chef’s welcome teaser of khao samunprai, spicy crisp rice with a special blend of local herbs. Notable dishes will also include goong sarong, deep fried marinated prawns wrapped with noodles and choo chee nua gam, braised Wagyu beef cheek in red curry sauce. Diners can also enjoy hoy shell phad prik Thai dam, stir fried scallops black pepper sauce, yum mamuang pla samlee rue poo nim thord, spicy green mango salad with crispy cotton fish or soft shell crab, and pla neung manao, steamed seabass with garlic, chili and lime sauce, and many more authentic dishes. The unforgettable Thai lunch or dinner at basil ends with the Grande Dessert Trolley served with a hot lemongrass tea infusion.
The award-winning restaurant, basil, features a fresh new dining concept that highlights the incredible diversity, high quality ingredients, and authentic flavors of Thai cuisine from four distinct regions; the central plains, the north, northeast and the south.
