The St. Regis Bangkok has invited a special guest chef to showcase his talents for pairing luxury food, with balanced selections of craft-brewed beer, this July.
Previously of the 3-Michelin-Star ‘Grace’ restaurant, in Chicago, and now with his own critically-acclaimed, fine-dining restaurant ‘Upstairs Mikkeller’ in Bangkok, Korean-born Chef Dan Bark is set to take over the kitchen at VIU Restaurant, for three outstanding, limited-edition nights.

From 23rd – 25th July 2017, the very creative Chef Dan Bark shares his extraordinary flair and passion for beer, with The St. Regis Bangkok diners, on the 12th floor, overlooking the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and city skyline beyond. He has devised an innovative 6-course menu, complete with optional beer pairing.
Priced at THB 3,300net per person, guests can add another THB 1,300net, to include the selection of exceptional craft beers, specifically chosen for this gourmet experience. Chef Dan Bark is most convincing in his practical testimony that beer is not merely for the pub or bar experience. Expect eye-catching plates with artistic vision, as he composes the best locally sourced and imported produce, to tantalize the taste buds.

Guests will dine on the likes of: Alaskan king crab with ikura, cucumber and basil; sunchokes with mustard, milk curd and celery; scallops with watermelon, kelp and nasturtium; mushrooms with parmesan, truffle and sorrel; wagyu beef or Australian lamb; and chocolate with financier cake, plum and rice. The menu is perfectly matched, by Chef Dan, with the distinctive characteristics of four hand-selected brews.
