Riedel Wine Bar and Cellar in collaboration with “it’s Riesling” wine importer is pleased to present for the first time ever, “Bangkok Summer of Riesling”. Launching on Thursday, 12th May 2016, the event offers wine lovers a proper tasting of over 20 labels of Riesling from Germany and Alsace such as Van Volxem, St.Urbanshof, Diel, Dönnhoff, Leitz, Dreissigacker, Friedrich Becker, Pauly, Egon Müller and Keller. All served in Riesling specific Riedel ‘Veritas’ Wine Glasses, guests can relish in artisan canapés, Riesling Blind Tasting Challenges and enjoy the stunning surroundings of the Riedel Wine Bar & Cellar. Tickets for the event are THB 1,800 per person.
Riesling is the ultimate summer wine for its refreshingly crisp quality. Thanks to its delicate, moderate alcohol content, the unwooded, crisp acidity and complex aromas shine through for a light and subtly sweet flavour. It can be served very cold, out of the refrigerator, whereas some white wines such as Chardonnay don’t taste their best when they are served cold. The “Bangkok Summer of Riesling” campaign starts with the launching event on Thursday, 12th May 2016 and 4 Riesling wine talks with different themes throughout the month of May. Riesling wine talks will take place on Wednesday, 4th of May, Thursday, 19th of May, Monday 23rd of May, with the final one concluding a monumental Riesling month on Tuesday 31st of May. To explore the fabulous and varying world of Riesling, Riedel Wine Bar & Cellar will serve 8 different Riesling by the glass a state-of-the-art wine dispensing machine the entire month of May, available in 3 different pouring sizes (30ml, 75ml and 150ml).
