Scalini has always been beautiful like we remember. Since we visit them in the afternoon, we can see the New York’s Speakeasy-inspired interior more clearly. Dark wooden floor, black and gold wall decorated in Industrial Loft Style always make us excited to be there. Our favorite corner is the aisle close to a big window with sunshine, because here is where the light comes and reflect our white tablecloth and dinnerware. This make us feel warm and ready for the food soon to be served!
As we have mentioned, Scalini’s Sparkling Sunday Brunch consists of two parts: Buffet Line to choose and Fine Dining to order. 10 Fine Dining menus can be ordered unlimited. Now we will bring you to see the Buffet Line. One of the first ones is, of course, the Antipasto and one of Bangkok’s best Seafood On Ice.
A big highlight is Seafood on Ice corner. Although not gigantic, the quality is premium compare to its size. Come and say hello to Lobsters, king of prawns, Alaska King Crabs, Tiger Prawns and a full can of Caviar. Prepare your seafood sauce cos tons of fresh and fibulas seafood are on the way.
Move a bit to the buffet corner. This corner presents you a full collect of premium cold cut. This corner also provided you various kinds of side dish such as crispy bread, dried pumpkin seeds, shallots, pickles, olive pickles and Anchovy. If you want to go healthy, let’s have a look at the salad bar with a wide selection of salad dressing and the big cut of fresh and sweet beetroot. The buffet room dominant by an Antipasto table. It might be a bit odd for Thai people. But don’t be hesitate to try! However, if you don’t sure where to start, here we come with some suggestion.

An egg Benedict we chose were a tasty start to our journey. A thick slice of English muffins are made in-house daily, a spread has a perfect balance of sour Hollandaise sauce and rich cream spinach, a salty smoked salmon is served on top and poached eggs only need a gentle nudge to release their runny yolk. This classic serve is surely a must for every Sunday brunch and Scalini has it cooked in a remarkable way.
Portobello Pesto, Garnished & Parmesan Foam
Then come a hot bowl of Porcini soup with its original mushroom smell. This soup has an intensely earthy flavor in this smooth cream. Add it more special with parmesan foam, a slice of thin bread, and a stir-fried cubical cut porcini in olive oil.
