In September at Yamazato, The Okura Prestige Bangkok, we celebrate Japan’s Double Ninth Chrysanthemum Festival. Also known as Kiku No Sekku, it is the tradition to dine with friends, drink sake with chrysanthemum petals, and toast to a long life.

Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara invites you to experience his Double Ninth Gozen and Kaiseki menus. Highlights include hot clear soup with gingko nuts dumplings, shimeji mushroom and chrysanthemum, simmered eggplant with saury fish, taro pumpkin, chrysanthemum, carrot and citrus, grilled mackerel with mushroom sauce, salmon roe and chives, steamed rice with sea bream in tea broth and pickles, simmered eggplant with saury fish, taro, pumpkin, chrysanthemum, carrot, and citrus, foie gras with figs, a dessert of sweet potato pudding with matcha sauce, and more.
