ZOOM Sky Bar & Restaurant is helmed by Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel’s Executive Chef Adtavorn Charoonpontithi or Chef Gibb, who has notched up over decades of culinary experience in Thailand and overseas, including working at Le Jardin De Sens Restaurant in France, alongside 2-Michelin Star chefs Jacques and Laurent Pourcel.
At ZOOM Sky Bar & Restaurant, Chef Gibb has brought his distinctive culinary concepts with strong passion for innovation to the restaurant, embracing his innovative entrees and flair for Western cooking with Asian influence using ingredients from around the world to create his “own style” cuisine.
A Feast For The Eyes And The Taste Buds
The innovative delight from the young yet dynamic chef arrives with Foie Gras, Caviar & Potato Espuma, a dollop of potato foam on a foie gras de canard topped with black Lumpfish caviar, beautifully displayed in an eggshell. It offers a splendid combination of delicate flavors and smooth textures.


The Tuna and Chicken, which comes next, is succulent with a combo of pan-seared akami tuna and crispy fried chicken skin, accompanied by green tea chicken crumbles and spicy mango sauce and garnished with wild rocket leaves and red shallots—a creatively-appointed menu item that can easily give a palate the wow factor.


This is followed by the Blackness Scallop, made with diver-picked Hokkaido scallops coated with charcoal and seaweed powder, exhibiting a mild, sweet flavor with a fantastic coating crunch. It is topped with apple foam, served atop a bed of ham, green peas, and shallots, enhanced with apple and ginger puree and carrot beurre blanc.


A highlight of this wonderful meal is obviously the Corns and Grains, comprised of lusciously tender pieces of roasted 150-day aged beef tenderloin surrounded by sundried carrots, celeriac puree with potato chips, beef jus, and shallot jus made with red wine. It is a truly beautiful dish in terms of both taste and presentation.


Precisely plated and presented, the Siam Gulf “King Prawn” is also scrumptious with an impressive combination of char-grilled tiger prawns with saffron infused potatoes and chili reduction made with chili paste, orange juice and olive oil, served along with lobster foam wrapped in thin slices of turnip and topped with caviar.


For the sweet temptation, there is this Wild Berries Cheese Cake that will definitely satisfy a sweet tooth. It comes with fresh unbaked cheese cake cloaked in raspberry jelly, serve with rhubarb and berries compote and mixed berries, as well as white chocolate powder and dark chocolate sauce.
