To keep it fresh and seasonal, VOGUE Lounge entices its guests with a whole new menu of fabulous international fares created by the restaurant’s Executive Chef Cyril Cocconi and creative cocktails crafted by the bar’s mixologist Francesco Moretti, available only from May to August this year. (The menu will be changed regularly once every four months.)
Creative Palate Pleasers
The blissful bite-sized menu—all neatly crafted and displayed—is a definite heartthrob at VOGUE Lounge. The creative Mexican-style appetizer Spinach & Parmesan Cheese Quesadilla tastes surprisingly terrific with crispy toasted tortillas filled with fresh spinach and Italian Parmesan, whilst the Tomato & Mozzarella Cheese Calzone transforms an ordinary Italian stable into a great event with the oven-baked dough stuffed with fresh ripe tomatoes and premium mozzarella. The 3-Cheese Croquetas, on the other hand, is crispy yet creamy with a delightful filling of Emmental, Roquefort, and Parmesan, served along with dried apricots and walnuts.
For seductive starters, the Foie Gras Ravioli with Smoked Duck Consommé arrives with soft, slightly chewy pasta dough packed with foie gras, bathed in a clear smoked duck soup with hazelnuts, delivering a strong taste and whiff of duck. The Blue Crab Caesar Salad Rolls with Pickled Mango turns a classic Caesar salad into a creative dish with romaine lettuce and crab meat wrapped in translucent dough, topped with toast bread, Parmesan, and crispy bacon, and served with pickled mango and salad dressing.
Hearty Entrée for Fashionistas
Served a small portion with big flavors, the Spicy Prawn Burger with Pickled Daikon is a sophisticated new twist on the traditional American burger, consisting of an appetizing patty of spicy ground prawn, pickled daikon, and cocktail sauce, placed between the soft, flavorful buns topped with seaweed, and served together with French fries as a side dish.
For entrée, the Lamb Filet with Artichoke Déclinaison and Hazelnuts is an outstanding masterpiece with the hazelnut-glazed lamb filet that is extremely tender and juicy with a distinctive flavor, complemented by artichokes, barbajuan, wild cherry tomatoes, and hazelnuts.
Meanwhile, the Sautéed Octopus with Chorizo & Basil Pesto, made with sautéed octopus tentacles from Spain mixed with tiny cuts of chorizo, dried tomato confit, and basil pesto, tantalizes Spanish palates with its unique flavor and character.
Decadent Desserts
At VOGUE Lounge, there are numerous decadent sweet items to choose from. The Iced Mojito Cocktail offers a refreshing and fizzy note with swirl layers of mint bavarois, lemon gel, crumble, and rum granite on top. This is followed by the smooth and moist Coffee-Flavored “Baba Au Rum” with Tahitian Vanilla Espuma, a coffee-infused cake soaked with rum and served with vanilla espuma, coffee ice cream, and coffee jelly, exhibiting a very strong taste of alcohol and coffee with a beautiful contrast of vanilla flavor.
Other highlights include the mouthwatering Valrhona Kalingo Chocolate Lava Cake with Strawberry Sorbet, a dark chocolate cake filled with gooey strawberry cream served with fresh strawberries and strawberry sorbet, and the Exotic-Textured Valrhona Ivoire Chocolate Tart with Earl Grey Tea, a fudgy crust garnished with white chocolate, tropical fruit jam, and fresh mango, served with earl grey ice cream and crumble.
Darling Infusions
With Moretti’s rich experience and creative flair, the cocktails here is no afterthought either. Sample Oh Beautiful, an Instagram-worthy concoction of tequila-infused pineapple skin, Galliano, pineapple juice, pandan leaf syrup, and egg white-infused lemon, with rose bitters and dried roses. It offers unexpectedly awesome sweet and sour combos with an eye-catching presentation. Or try another lady-pleasing drink, Kiss from A Rose, in which, Havana Club 3 years old and Chambord liqueur meets apple juice, lemon, egg white, vanilla syrup, kaffir leaves and rose soda to form a rich and creamy taste with an aromatic medley of rose and fruits.
For something a little more masculine, the Aged Aroma Negroni needs no further explanation. It consists of Beefeater gin aged for 2 months in an oak barrel with Campari-infused Italian coffee beans, Mancino Rosso vermouth, chocolate bitters, vanilla oil infused with Italian herbs, and orange zest, giving a noticeably bittersweet taste and with a very strong mochaccino note. Meanwhile, the Thai Botanical makes a refreshing sipper on a hot day with a local blend of Beefeater gin infused with jasmine tea, homemade ginger syrup, lemongrass, spiced berries, lemon bitters, and tonic water.
