Kisso Japanese Restaurant will welcome two highly acclaimed Japanese chefs from “Mai”, the Japanese restaurant at The Westin Tokyo, for a stimulating guest season of their signature creations from Friday, 26 May to Sunday, 4 June 2017.
Head Chef Kazushi Iwane is a 24-year veteran of high-end Japanese restaurant kitchens. Since he joined Mai in mid-2014, he has raised the restaurant’s reputation another few notches. In particular, his ingrained understanding of seasonal variations and ability to express them exquisitely is acknowledged as being exceptional. His personal favorite dish is Kaiseki Ryori.
Sous Chef Yuji Sugiyama joined Mai in the spring of 2009. But his specialization in fresh fish and marine products began in his childhood. In his distinguished residency at Mai he has evolved traditional cuisine and started a few new trends now considered mainstream. His personal favorite style is sushi.

The talented pair, assisted by Kisso’s well-seasoned team, will offer a special menu available for lunch and dinner as follows:
• Sake Steamed Hokkaido Seafood
• Steamed Oyster Custard with Horsehair Crab Meat
• Japanese Style Roasted Beef
• Sashimi Salad
• Clear Soup of Otoro and White Leek
• Okonomiyaki
• Deep Fried Horsehair Crab
• Grilled Kinki Fish with Sea Urchin
